Bookings Made at York RiverView Apartments

We require full pre-payment at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation. If payment is unsuccessful, the reservation will be automatically cancelled, and the apartment released.

Long Stay Discounts

Nightly rate reductions may be available on stays of longer than 2 nights. Check the booking calendar for information regarding multi night stays.

Cleaning Fee

A cleaning fee of £60 will be included in all apartment bookings, this fee will be refunded if the reservation is cancelled under the cancellation period terms.

Before you book, make sure you’re comfortable with York RiverView Apartments cancellation policy.

Within 48 Hours of Booking

Bookings cancelled within 48 hours of a reservation been made will be refunded 100% of the booking cost. This does not apply if the booking is made within, or the requested cancellation is within 7 days of the arrival date.

Bookings made within 7 days of arrival date are deemed non-refundable.

Prior to 7 Days

Cancellation of a reservation prior to 7 days before arrival and outside 48 hours of booking will receive a 50% refund.

7 Days Prior To Arrival

Cancellations made within a period of 7 days prior to your reserved arrival date at York RiverView Apartments, will be charged at 100% and no refunds will be issued.

Refund payments will be processed within 72 hours of the request been approved.

Cleaning fees will be refunded in all occurrences of a cancellation made before arrival.

Check In is from 15:00

Check-Out is by 10:00

Access to the apartment is gained via self check-in with lockbox for the apartment keys.

Full details of how to access your York RiverView Apartment will be included with your booking confirmation.

York RiverView Apartments have a no-smoking policy in line with UK legislation. This policy covers the burning/smoking of all substances in our apartments, including incense. The property reserves the right to charge a penalty for non-compliance.

Guests must state at the time of booking, the number of people residing in the apartment overnight. The maximum occupancy for each apartment cannot be exceeded.

Guests making reservations at The Jewel on The Ouse apartment may have a maximum of 4-person occupancy.

Guests making reservations at The Gem on The Ouse apartment may have a maximum of 5-person occupancy. A rollaway bed will be placed in the apartment for use by the 5th guest at a nightly cost of £40. The rollaway bed will only be made available when 5 people are selected at the time of booking.

Infants that do not require a bed do not need to be included when stating number of guests at booking.

Return of Apartment Keys

The apartment’s keys must be returned to the lock box at check out, charges may apply for lost keys.

Non-Resident Guest Visit

Only the number of persons registered at the time of Check-in may occupy the apartment. Guests must vacate the apartment by midnight. Under no circumstances is multiple occupancy allowed. No animals are to be brought into the apartment at any time.

Termination of Stay

We reserve the right to terminate your use and occupation of your apartment immediately in the event of:

Non-payment of any bill due.
Overcrowding for any type of or sort of gathering.
Unreasonable noise or behaviour (which York RiverView Apartments reserve the right to determine)
Unauthorised parties or gatherings in the apartment.

Perfume incense burning sticks. Burning oils fragrances or diffusers are not allowed in the apartment.

York RiverView Apartments provide accommodation for private residential use only and in a reasonable manner. We only allow the accommodation to be occupied by the number of persons confirmed at the time of booking. Operation of any form of business from the accommodation or use of it for any illegal or immoral purpose will require you to vacate the accommodation immediately. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards behaviour that is abusive, threatening, or violent towards our staff, our contractors, residents, or other guests. If you or any of your party or anyone that you authorise to occupy the accommodation behaves in this manner, we will terminate your right to occupy the accommodation immediately, and we may report the matter to the police.

Smoking Penalty

We follow a no smoking policy in all apartments. Smokers who ignore this restriction can be fined up to £400 to cover the cost of an outside cleaning company to clean the entire apartment. Plus, any income lost due to the apartment becoming unavailable for occupation by a new guest booking.

Stay Extensions

An extension of your stay depends on availability and is at the discretion of York RiverView Apartments.

Internet Usage

Internet usage is complementary to our guests. Please be aware that York RiverView Apartments cannot be held responsible for any visits to unauthorized, restricted, or illegal sites. The user is liable and enters those sites entirely at their own risk.

Damage or Loss

York RiverView Apartments reserves the right to charge for damage or loss caused by you to the apartment or its contents. Compensation will be demanded to cover the reasonable cost of repair or replacement, plus any income lost due to the apartment becoming unfit for occupation by new guests.

Parties & Loud Music

We wish you to treat your apartment as your home but ask you to respect the rights of other guests to peaceful enjoyment of their apartment. Parties and loud music are not allowed (which York RiverView Apartments reserve the right to determine). Failure to comply will result in guests being asked to leave immediately.

Recommendations

York RiverView Apartments cannot be held responsible for the ramifications against companies or establishments recommended by us, such as Shops/ Attractions/ Restaurants.

Personal Property

York RiverView Apartments cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to valuables left unattended in the apartment.

Inventory Check-Out

When vacating the accommodation, you must leave the accommodation in the same condition as it was at the beginning of your stay, subject to fair wear and tear. Where the accommodation or any item is not left in the condition required, you must pay us any costs which we incur in cleaning, repair, or replacement.
